I've read in older posts that the original GE headlamps installed in 1970 had a "wide flute" pattern, which is different than later replacement bulbs.

Does anyone have a photo they can post that compares the two different styles? I'm trying to locate "assembly line wide flute" 1970 headlamps, and I'm not sure what to look for.

Google it I did once you will find the info you need,yes early lamps had wide flutes.

GE 6012 is one of the correct lamps for your 70 cuda. Many LA cars used Westinghouse too (but its mixed). Both 70 and 71 cars had the wide flute pattern in the glass.

Thank you everyone. I can see the difference and it's pretty obvious once you have the narrow flute lens next to the correct bulb.

If anyone has NOS wide flute GE 6012's they would be intrested in selling, send me a PM.

Thanks Jason. One side is GE, and the other Westinghouse. Interesting. I guess they weren’t always matched.

Does anyone have any NOS Westinghouse 6012's?
