Do these floor consoles have a carpet trim strip along the bottom? I am mocking up a conversion deal for my '73 RR and the floor section W/brackets that I bought puts the bottom edge of the console about an inch off the floor.

Thanks....

I 1973 B Body uses the same console as the 71-74 E Bodies with no carpet on the bottom edge.

With no carpet in the car they may appear raised, but I wouldn't think it would be as high as you're referring to???

Hey Old Hippie...I see you are local to me. Not too many of us Mopar guys around this town. I am fairly certain there are no carpet attachments to the 71-74 b body consoles. You may have an incorrect bracket set. Someone else will chime in. I have attached a not so good picture of my buddies old 71 console.

Actually, an inch sounds about right off the bare floor pan. After the carpet and padding are in place the lower edge of the console should be just above the carpet surface.

I am using an old section of Transmission Tunnel that I bought with brackets attached. The weld quality is, at best, really poor and everything may not be in the correct location since only about half the mounting screw holes line up.
Thanks, guys.

If your tunnel/pan is ok, there are reproduction bracket sets available, align/mount them up yourself. Needed to replace the forward bracket after installing the manual trans hump and TKO-600 mod.
