Just to let everyone know of the issue I had with my 06 Ram 2500 5.7. The brake line near the front section of gas tank near the emissions canisters was leaking. Luckily I caught it before a accident occurred. It appears that maybe the fuel tank was rubbing the line and wore the black coating off and maybe even wore the line down some and rust ate it`s way through. I searched the internet and it seems that this is fairly common for this truck so check that area for wetness.

Well, in fairness, it is 9 or 10 years old already. If it were say three years old, I'd be alarmed. But around a decade (or older), not surprised a bit.

The rest of the line was perfect. It was rubbing and worn flat in a small area. 9 to 10 years didn`t really come in to play as the cause was actually the worn spot from the apparent poor placement by design. BTW, I was just warning other to check under there because I read that quite a few people had the same thing happen. Seems like a safety concern to me. Not complaining just warning others.
