volaredon top fuel V Joined: Jan 2008 Posts: 2,233 ILLINOIS	Yeah, but not all trannys newer than that year, were lock up; I had a 4 speed (518) that was non lock up. out of a 92 1 ton B van with a 360 in it (last year for the LA 360 before the magnum.) also the 904 in my '78 Fury (early car, built in 9/77) and the 727 in my'83 3/4 ton truck, are NOT lockup ones. yet, the 727 in my 1/2 ton '81 4WD WAS a l/u. so it was not "across the board" usage.
