I had the same problem as you. The headers would fry the straps on the blanket. I ended up getting a blanket and taking it to an automotive upholstery shop and they shortened it. The top of the blanket covers the transmission, but the straps are not anywhere near the sides of the header tubes. There was someone that used to sell them this way, but I don't know who it was. Last time I tried calling that company they said they didn't make them anymore.
