I bought new argent silver grill & headlight bezels for my 84 d150 would like to paint them black what would be the best paint to use that won't flake or pill off

Do I need any adhesion promoter to use with it?

I would say...I don't know because I don't even know what it is and no I have never used it.

Preparation is the key, got any pictures of what you want to paint? I not familer with those grills. Is it porous or smooth?
