Hi, I have a 69 Dart with a 340ci that i have been putting back together for the past several years. The engine was apart at time of purchase and some of the components were missing. (ie, all the pullys). This is a non air car with P/S. I was wondering if anyone out there had good pics of the pully/belt configuration that this car should have?

Thanks Bob

Do you still have the cast iron water pump on there or is the '70 up style aluminum pump on the engine? Reason I ask is because the offsets are different.

The WP & alt would have one groove/one belt for the both of them & the crank pulley 2 grooves & I think(but not positive) that the rear groove it's diameter is smaller & its belt is for the PS. going by memory, no pics to share.

Hi, I have the cast w/p. The belt pullys for the alt, w/p, and outside crank pully line up ok. The inside crank pully which is smaller in dia. then the outside lines up pretty close to the p/s pump pully. The problem is the w/p pully and inside crank pully are so close to each other that the belt coming off the crank pully comes in contack with the bottom of the w/p pully when you try to connect it to the p/s pump. confused yet? Thanks Bob

I understand why you requested pics . Possible you need the w/p pulley with the straight sides rather than the tapered sided one or a smaller dia w/p pulley.

I bought a pulley from this guy at Carlisle and he really knows pulleys. Contact him and I bet he will know right off the top of his head. He isn't cheap though:

He sells a lot of used pulleys that I don't think are listed on his web site. I know he is very familiar with the 340 pulley configurations. If you call him he will know and might have a used pulley on hand to sell you.
