I have a 70 Challenger. I am planning on using 15-7 on the front and 15-8 on the rear. I am not looking for the pro-street look just a good size that will fill the wheel opening and not have a problem with rubbing. What do you suggest as backspace and tire size? Thanks

15x8 with 4.5 bs and 275-60x15 tires on back fits but is close. My Barracuda has plenty of clearance but sits an inch or two higher than stock. Might want to use 255s if your car sits low.

In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. In practice, there is.

I was able to put 295/50 x 15 on my 70 Chally by moving the springs in about an inch with the MP SS springs, front hangers and shackle kit. It's all bolt in except the spring seats/perches get cut off and new ones welded on. Some people say that 295s are too wide for an 8" wheel but it looks OK and I haven't had any issues. I run stock 15X7 rallyes up front. The key part is that I had the 15X8s custom built with one more inch of backspacing than the stock 15X7s have. I think the 15X7 has a 4.25" BS and my 15X8s have 5.25 BS. The best part is the factory style trim ring doesn't have a big gap between it and the wheel.
