Finally took the car to a track.
Now this was the last chance before the long winter here in North Sweden.
It´s an small event 1/8 track mostly for street type cars, so there´s no prep. on the surface. About 12-14 feet rubber from tires at the start, then just asphalt.
Loosed the rebound on the front Lamb struts and compr. on the Santhuffs, but I had to lift every run.
Tires are old to, which did not help.
Motor sounds great with only 32,5 degrees timing.
Have had good support from both members here and the former owners of my car Lee and Mary Baltzell.

Here´s a video of one run.

Sounds great! I think the plexi airbox is cool. Is that custom or is there a website to get that from?

The air box is made from Lexan (polycarbonate). This one is made by me and have rivets with washers inside the scoop.
It´s something I made -99 when I first raced the Coronet-69. I will be making a nicer one with glued corners instead.
When bending 90° corners on Lexan, you need to have bigger radius or you will get lots of micro cracks. Best is to test of a piece of left over, before you bend it.

Saw this on Yellow bullet, if you don´t want to build your own, which is not to difficult, if you have access to sheet metal equipment.

Thanks. I'm going to look into that. Good luck with the Bird.

Nice car!
The burnout sounded good. I even understood some parts about a firebird and 540 mopar motor 😆

Hope you get out to race on a sticky track soon. It's going to be fast!

Thanks guys!
I will have to wait until may 2016 because I live in North Sweden.
Had 7600 chip in the MSD and shifted low at 7000 with electric shifter solenoid.
Started with a 3500 transbrake chip.

Yes the speaker interviewed me when I came to the track, and was very detailed about the car.

The B1 heads have been ported by Mike Radnis, RAD racing and have 2.30 titan. Intake valves. The intake also has a full port work by Mike.

Tierp is a concrete world class facility. We have 600km one way, but it's good roads all the way.
Will make plans to take the car there. No worries about traction there.😀

Well, I won't be going to any more unprepped tracks again.
First run was like a second burnout, before I loosened the shocks more.
Learned lots of things about the shocks.
First time racing with a neck hybrid also. Could not move the helmet much and maybe had the adjustments to tight.
