Well i went to the local yard and bought a sunroof off a 74 or so dart. I want to try and put it in my Challenger? Anyone ever done it? I will be the first to try if no one has!

Steve I put a lot of sunroofs in just about anything with wheels,.....however the a body sunroof is rather small, you might be better off finding a Volvo sunroof, usually out of the wagons, mid 80's, as these are very close to the factory E body deminsons, and appearance, and the motor drive is a much more quality unit!

For you Kevin,....FREE!,....I'd install it in your verts hood that way it doubles as an airgrabber,.....or the trunk lid, that way you have a rumble seat!

You could have the only Challenger convertible with a redneck retractable panel?.....how bout' one in the hood, and one on the trunk lid!.....or better yet a clear plastic convertible top, and a clear plastic hood too!.....just let me know!

Don't know the manufacturer of the tinted hood, but have seen a few clear 71-2 RR hoods since the early 80's......a few of the ricer hoods are coming in clear now,....I know Ecklers carried 63-7 vette hoods back in the day! clear and tinted.....try a google search, or contact a current mfg for purchase/ production?

i think i remember that pic being of the hood open and another pic was flashed on the film to give that appearance. I dont think i have ever seen a clear hood in person...would be neat though

Perhaps Marc, regarding that yellow car?......I don't know it's history, but I've seen other 71-2 RR/GTX's with clear RR hoods, as far back as early 80's, all pin on,.....Ecklers was a big tinted/clear hood supplier for 63-7 vettes back in the 80's.....seen a few GTO's back in the day with clear hoods,....the 80's trend was to cruise with no hood, showing off your motor, all the chrome, miles of braided hose, etc .....most police didn't take kindly to running no hood,....guess that's why a few mfg's created some see-thru clear hoods back in the day,......their making a comeback, but with the ricer crowd
