I'm using the chrome 5-hole 1994 - 2001 16 x 7s on a project and wondered if they'd have problems with 9/16" lugs. I think they were 1/2" lugs stock.

Thanks,
R.

I'm not sure if it helps you, but I measured a set I have and the holes were .615 that SHOULD work. I have never actually put them on something with 9/16" lugs though

Thanks for the coherent reply. Now it's up to me to make a decision.

With the wheel off the truck, check how the cone for the 9/16" lug nut fit in the wheel. Its not hard to see from the back side. If the wheel is sitting on the cone part of the lug all the way around the lug, it should be OK. If the cone part is still outside of the wheel, its a no go. The cone part of the lug is what the wheel makes contact with and centers the wheel. Often times, the larger stud has lugs with larger diameter cones that won't fit into the wheels, then the wheels won't seat correctly and won't tighten correctly. Gene

That's what I was afraid of, and since the vehicle is hundreds of miles away, I spent the extra few $ and got the 1/2" lug adapters, that way I can be sure it'll fit when I get there.

Life would be a lot easier if the car and truck manufacturers didn't keep changing the centerbores and wheel bolt circles.
