Hey guys,

I'm thinking of changing the wheels on my 89 D150. Anyone got pics of an older truck like that aftermarket wheels? I like the stock wheels I have, but the Center caps get hot and break off. Kinda tired of changing them.

Thanks!
Randy

I have P245/75R16 tires on 16" aftermarket wheels on my '87 D100 and I like the look. The tires are a trifle big in the front for a little restriction in the turning radius...probably would be better @ P225/75R16, but then they would not match the rears and the rears fit the wheel wells just right. twocents

I have never heard of the caps getting hot and breaking off, but just a thought, if you like the wheels you have, how about using one of the later, shorter style, that snap on the lug nuts?
My thought is that being shorter they might not be as much bother, and would also make the wheel look deeper?

I went with the '03 or so 17", I liked the design and thought they would look good on a square Dodge, but overthought the wheel adapter/hub centric, spacer thing ... these are 275/60-17 tires, 2" rear spacer and 1" front, rear would be better with 1" also, or 1 1/2".

It takes gasoline to interest me.
