I have a 72' 340 Road Runner with headers. I'm looking at getting a new set of FireCore plug wires made by Rick, and we have some concerns with access to the #5 and #7 cylinders.

Rick and I are wondering what you guys are using on your 340 with headers... 90 degree or 180 degree style boots?

The car has Hooker Headers on it.

I have attached a couple photos to show what Rick and I looking at.

I run Ricks wires on my 340 with TTi headers. His boots bend to where you need them. I just bend the boots to suit.

If we went with 180 degree boots, and added the titanium socks, I think it would still get some extreme heat. I am thinking 90 degree, and route them down and forward first, then arc them up and back, still with the titanium socks. GREAT car !! Very impressive. Great meeting you. .

Those tunes look tighter to the valve cover then some others I have seen.
I myself didn't like the 90* bend. I have run them under the tube. Other tubes have a little more room. Depends on the header and the actual bend. (Damm 1 size fits all header!)
The suggestion of a sock is good and what I have done in the past with vari angle boots.

Also to note, the stock wire loom I did not use. It's location is OK. But if you can reposition the wires to stay held within the loom, it would help with positioning the wire itself next to the header tube.
