Anyone know where I can get porting templates for magnum heads ?

They've been discontinued. You'll have to knock up ebay or the parts section here.

Does anyone have a set that they can scan and create some kind of cad file like a .dxf ?
If so, can you please email it to me ?

Some one had mentioned that MP put the wrong templates in the magnum porting pkg

that's good to hear as I have some magnums that I want to port. would it be feasible to copy them on some clear laminate plastic sheeting. when I read that post way back I took it to heart & stopped searching for a set especially when he said that MP themselves realized their mistake & pulled the plug on them. EDIT I remember now he said that the INSTRUCTIONS in the pkg were the wrong ones.

I dont recall the instructions being wrong, or maybe we just extrapolated what they meant and went for it.

I put the heads on a crate shortblock with the same cam and intake as the 380 crate engine. Made as much hp at the wheels as the crate engine is advertised at the flywheel. I'd say the templates work.

I have a set of the Magnum templates and they came with the wrong instructions. Some of the positions are right, but some are wrong. I returned the first set I got because of the instructions, but the replacement set had the same mistakes. It took a little effort, but I figuered it out and they worked great; gained over 2 mph on a mild 360.

I would like to purchase or borrow a set of the Magnum engine templates and would be willing to send a security deposit in advance if anyone would be willing to help me out.
