AndyF's 466 made max 464 hp at the rear wheels and idled with 14" of vacuum, didn't say where but I'll guess 900rpm. Intake was Perf RPM and carb Edelbrock 800. HP exhaust manifolds were one of the design factors for this engine. Would really move my '64Dog!

It's so easy nowadays but 10 years ago when he wrote the article it was more surprising to see such good numbers for a street engine.

That was a good engine. I sold it to 71TA but I haven't seen him on the board for awhile. He tried some other cams and ended up putting the .528 back in it since that was the one that ran the best.

That engine would've run even better if I had spent the money for more port work. The intake was out of the box and the heads only had some mild cleanup work. Still it was a really strong combo that was fun to drive. I took my brother-in-law for a ride and scared the pee out of him when I did a full throttle shift from first to second. Even with 325/50 drag radials the car would boil the tires and go sideways in the first three gears.
