No it does not.
Lbs of air and lbs of fuel (the Air to fuel ratio) does not change because of a lack of or presence of a ignition source. Now if you are reading with a O2 sensor the lack of combustion will change the reading but the A/f has not changed at all. Climbing down off of my soapbox.

this car was running perfect then all of a sudden it just started running real rich at cruise.it went from 13.8- 14.5 to 10.00 to 11.00 on the afr meter.ive checked everthing possible.the only thing I havnt changed out is the msd and the dist. What makes you think it's an ignition problem? Could be a fuel issue - carb related.

if the ingnition was weak, or misfiring,. you would have incomplete combustion and the O2 would read lean (there's more oxygen left). There is only 2 ways for the O2 to read rich, you have added more fuel or you have less air. In each of these cases you must have combustion to burn all remainding oxygen.
just a note, with a weak ignition the O2 will read lean, plugs will be rich.
Have you checked your IAB's? they may have gotten pluged.

Joe I checked the carb out several times and even sent it back to BIGS. it came back with a clean bill of health.

Fuel pressure or carburetor power circuit.
R. been there ,done that,up down back and forth. If all that's left is the box and dist., go with the box first. All the wiring up to snuff? Alternator putting out at least 14 volts? Battery load test good?
