So I've scrounged all the parts to do an HEI conversion on my '67 Coronet. Bought the adapter from designed2drive that mounts the module under the distributor (very nice piece), the 4 pin module and this coil: http://m.summitracing.com/parts/tay-718226/none/imagesQuestion is, how do I properly hook it up? I'm not sure which outlets are "+" and "-". I found the attached diagram that is for a '90 blazer, which is one of the applications for the coil I have (I edited the original post, it was confusing how I had it worded). On the coil connector part of the diagram (which looks the same as my coil hook up), the top part shows a "+", but across from it is "c". Is this the "-" for the coil? "Tach" is fairly self explanatory but would I need the "ignition" post? What's the best way to hook this up? I'm using a mopar performance electronic ignition distributor

Wrong pic/diagram for a 4 terminal HEI module. With the 4 terminal HEI (2 terminals on each end), the "B" goes to switched 12V (tie your ign1 blue and ign2 brown together/I'm assuming no ballast) and the "C" goes to coil neg primary and the "B" also T's to the coil positive primary. The "W" and the "G" on the other end go to dist pickup (I forget which is which, I'd Google it, its out there). dont forget the Radio Shack heat sink paste. That adapter is a nice piece tho the looks of it but too pricey. Couldn't see the primary terminals on the coil in the pic but they'll be there.

I realize it's not the right diagram for the conversion, it's actually for a '90 Chevy blazer (which the coil is for), just trying to figure out which terminals on my coil are the "+" and "-", it's not marked on it (I edited the original post, I worded it confusingly)

Oh OK I see what you are saying, that coil has dual connectors (which ain't pictured but the schematics are in your diagram. As you know you'd need which terminal is switched 12V and which one is neg & likely the tach terminal is T'd from the neg terminal & is a just a seperate take off for the tack connection. I'm out of thoughts but I'd call Summitt & they'd know since it is a universal app

I looked at that coil, the connections/circuit in the pic & it dont make sense to me. Normally you'd have the 2 small primary terminals and the primary coil winding and then the secondary winding with one end being the center out for the large secondary wire to dist & the other end connected to the primary winding somewhere inside.
