I was told to use auto trany fluid in my new rebuilt 4-speed just wandering if anyone of you has done this-I was told it is better for the syncro's and the bearings and may shift easier??

Are you laughing because you know this topic comes up about once each week around here lately?

Lots of opinions, mine is run a GL-4 gear lube of your choice, not a GL-5, not ATF.

But many people do run ATF sucessfully.

Yah, I just posted that same question about a week ago. I ran GL-5 in mine and it did not mesh well (synchros) so I drained it and put ATF in its place and it shifts way better. Pennzoil Synchromesh and Mopar Synchromesh #4874465 were recommended as well.

FSM says to run ATF in cold climates so that is pretty accurate advise.

I want my fair share

If you want to take the guess work out of this, contact Jamie Passon at Passon Performance and get some of "Passon's Potion". I don't know whats in this stuff but it works great!
