I am changing direction a bit on my Grand Cherokee build and decided to use my Cordoba 390 parts to rebuild the Magnum 5.2 and get rid of all the other parts I already have. Instead of using the edelbrock magnum heads as planned, I will now use my ported EQ magnum heads but they are the 318B heads that only have the LA style intake bolts. I need to drill and tap the iron EQ heads for the vertical magnum style bolts.
I was thinking about getting a crosswind intake that has both la and magnum style bolt holes and bolting it to the engine using the la bolts. Then, put a metal sleeve in the vertical magnum hole (to prevent damage) and have at it??? Or should I just take it to a machine shop and let them do it?? I could probably use the crosswind intake some time in the future so I have no problem buying one....... I am off from work for 2 months so I have time on my hands...... TIA TBF
Anybody looking for a freshly bored .030 over 70 318 block align honed and decked?

Are you trying to install the OEM barrel ram on those heads?
Using the crosswind intake would probably work decently well. I have one for sale if you plan on getting one.
