Anyone here switched to Comp's Max Jets? I was considering buying some to better fine-tune my Gold Claw than is supposed to be possible w/ Holley jets, due to their larger range of flow variation, especially in the higher jet # range.

I've used the jets from BLP in my Dominator. The MaxJets look identical to the BLP jets but I don't know if they are the same or if they just look the same.

I like the BLP jets. They are easier to install and remove, they have a nice radius on the entry side, and the number is the actual hole size.

I bought a set for my Demon and they work like jets. Their size claims appear to be accurate to me.
I bought them mainly because they were the only set I could find the day I was looking. I'm in Memphis and went to Comp to get them.

Take care,
Rick

I have been using Max Jets for a few years and am happy with them. You can't nick the jets with a jet driver like holly jets because you use the same 5/16 nut driver to put in the jets that you use to remove the bowl screws and the jet sizes are consistant unlike the Holly Jets that have a size that has nothing to do with actual size of the hole.

I have used them, they work good, but so does the standard Holley jets. I mean I never understood the advantage really..They might be nice for dyno queens etc. I always just jetted for best MPH at the track. I usually went two jets sizes either way until I found the best MPH. I tried a few times to go up or down one jet sizes but never really seen a gain or loss. The car just never was "That" consistent. to really know if a .02 was the jets or the car....

IMO

My issues w/ standard Holley jets are (a) the lack of precision in flow variation from one size to the next and (b) screwing them up - even w/ the proper jet tool - during jet changes.

Thanks for everyone's feedback.

I use the Holley's but I also dont like the way they
install(screwdriver) I do have to be careful not
to burr them but as stated above .001 in jet size
isnt going to matter... at least to me... plus I
have too much money into the Holley's now with 8 jets
in each size up to 100

Yeah, the screwdriver slot is the biggest problem with the Holley jets. I finally took a screwdriver with a large tip and spent some time on the belt sander shaping it so that it was a perfect fit into a Holley jet. That helped to keep from causing burrs but I still prefer the 5/16 hex drive on the BLP jet.

I have been thinking of tigging an short piece of
tubing over the sized screwdriver tip so that it
cant slip and mess it up(just a few thou larger than
the jet)

That`s why I bought the jet removal too that surrounds the outside of the jet and has the screwdriver slot built in so you CAN`T jack up the jets. It`s ade by MOROSO w/a blue handle(no part # on it). Again, I have $175.00 worth of maxi-jets and the billet holder I`ll sell for $80.00+ shipping. They range from #88`s-109`s in sets of four.
