The last three ATI(one SB Chevy blower model, two Mopar BB ones) dampeners that I have bought and installed said to not hone the dampener

they did say to measure the crank snout and rectify the clearnaces to what they wanted as a minimum and the maximum but they didn't say how

I broke a Moroso brand installation tool installing a new ATI dampener on the blown SB Chevy engine two weeks ago

I ended up removing the dampener and measure the crank snout and the I.D. of the dampener, both where within ATI recommendations and I ended up borrowing a Snap On brand installation tool and the dampener went right on
