Did I mess this up or can I press this in still? 69 manual says to install bushing on pivot shaft first then press whole thing into lower control arm (I've done this backwards...pressed bushing into lower control arm first). Any feedback would be appreciated.

Wayne:

I install them like that all the time, you are fine. Just put a deepwell socket on the back side that just barely fits in the hole. This will give support to the inner shell when you press the shaft in. A little lube on the inside of the shell will aid installation.

Yep it's the hard way of doing it, but it can be done with a socket as mentioned. I use to do them that way all the time....Now I press the shaft in first and then use a collar to press the assembly into the control arm...
