I was told it was by the owner but I just came from seeing it and it does not have the plaque on the dash and although it has the correct blue interior, it appears to have originally been dark blue exterior. It is definitely the original 383 4bbl and 4-speed. With console and tach. Currently 3rd owner with ties to the 1st owner who special ordered the car before shipping off to Viet Nam and didn't return home. At any rate, probably not a pace car edition, but i's a convertible '65 Sport Fury 383 4bbl, 4-speed. Figuring it's pretty rare, just would like to know before I decide to buy it.

If you want a '65 Fury, be sure to get one in pristine condition.
Almost all of the trim is aluminum and it's always beat up.
The Sport Furys have that engine turning detail on the trim, also.
Not a cheap or easy car to restore.
Very few restoration parts exist, and the cars seem very prone to rusting.
I've got a rough pace car convertible that I've tried to sell cheap several times.
Not one person has come to look at it.
I'll probably wind up pulling the 383/727 and a few other parts and junking
the rest.
Did you junk this car? I'm looking for some parts from it. Let me know if anything is available.
