Guys, I have a 70 Satellite that I want to put disc brakes on..I fella here on moparts emailed me with a set of 73-76 B-body spindles and I was wondering what the difference is between these spindles and what would have come on my car if originally equipped with disc brakes from the factory? Are the spindles taller? Shorter? Usable with no problems? I have read a lot of the disc-o-tech and online forums pertaining to the swap but wanted to know specifically what you all thought?

I would use the spindles you have. Why drag together a bunch of used parts and hope they work together? There are kits that will bolt up to your drum spindles and work great.

After converting my Duster from drums to discs I wish I had used the drum spindle with a kit. I could have used an aluminum 2 piece disc and aluminum calipers. Lighter is always better on suspension components. Some day I'll change it all out if I can get a deal on a nice kit.

Where can you buy one of those spindle kits?

It just depends what you want to do. The late model disc brakes are the best way to go for a street car but you might want other options for a race car.
