I recently ordered a set of KB-823's for my 451 build.

I'm planning on using a Hughes 4248 solid which has .563 ex. lift.

Will these two pieces work in harmony? I know the only for-sure way to tell will be to mock it up once I have the pieces, but I'm hoping someone here may have built a similar combo and can save me from buying something that wont work together.

Thanks for any help.

Edit: These pistons will be .023 in the hole, with a .040 head gasket.

Duration and cam timing play a big part in piston to valve clearence. That said we run the MP .557 cam on a 105 centerline in my sons 400 with alot of room as his eng had over .150. The KB pistons have a nice valve relief in them. I would think you will be fine but of course you will need to check it to be sure. Ron

Just off hand I think you will be fine.
My 500" stroker has Keith Black pistons and had clearance for a 0.715" lift 264 @ 0.050" roller cam.
