We put a leveling kit on my sons 07 ram 1500 4x4. it really turned out nice and the truck looks much better.

My question is do I need to change the front sway bar links to something longer. they really don't sit correctly on the sway bar in my opinion??

Thanks for the replies.

Thank you

Most simple 2 inch leveling kits wont need extra parts. Some struts already have 2 inches built into them and a leveling kit is a no-no.

I have to hear this... why is it a no no?? less rake on the front suspension?? the truck now sits level, If I would have put a complete 4 inch lift on the truck it lifts the front and the rear so I guess I don't understand. what makes it a no no??

is a complete lift kit a no no

Thank you

2 inches is all you should lift. Some struts like bilstein's have 2 inches of lift already built into them. Adding 2 additional issues with those style struts will force the suspensions operational angles to an extreme causing failure esp upper ball joints.

Just curious if you have used the 4x4 yet? I had put a 2 inch leveling kit in my 2006 4x4 and it would vibrate when I took off from a stop under acceleration from the angle it had put on the front axle shafts. From what I read it sounds like some do and some don't. I ended up taking the leveling kit back out because I use the 4x4 a lot.

so far no vibration. we did put in 4x4 after the kit was complete just to make sure nothing was missed.

If I do get a vibration I will know what causes it.

We did look into the 2 inch bilstiens but they were out of my sons budget for now

Thank you
