3 bills. required for their bare super stealth heads. For a mild app (mild hyd non roller cam) are them a good choice? thank you for your time. EDIT do I need alum/roller rockers and do they make an iron offset rocker (for intakes) that would suit my needs which'd be cheaper (if I dont need the high dollar stuff) ?

BOHICA!

Watch out! the flood of negative posts is about to land.

I don't know the real answer, but have you looked at AndyF's rocker arm comparison? He is talking mostly about length and geometry, but the valvetrain will last longer with the geometry correct.

R.

Hey Dog thanks for commenting as I was beginning to think that nobody loved me anymore! BOHICA, I ain't hip to that what does it mean (I can hardly wait). I knew going in that the SS would require the offset intake rockers. I just got paid from those slick talkin California lawyers for the incident in pic #1 so I decided to splurge on the SS's rather than regular stealths. Yes I will stay on top of the geometry incl wipe pattern/p rod length/preload. pic #2 is one of em & I ain't too happy about the deburring they did but I asked him & he said since they assume (& post) that likely you will do extensive porting on these/that they are rough castings that they dont get as meticulous on em as they normally would. Back to the topic: I just ain't sure I need alum and or rollers tho I obviously will need the offset rockers on the intake. I will check Andy's site & his articles. EDIT Dog I just Googled it, I have my ans/I'm sorry I asked! & disregard the PM

I hear some negitive about 440Source rockers but I have never run them. I have a buddy who has run their roller rockers on his Stealth heads for a good 3 years with no problems so far. Ron

I have had the 440source roller rockers (non offset) on my Eddy heads for 5 years now and about 1500 miles (lot of body shop prison time). No issues.

No matter what you get somebody will tell you a horror story. They just had a thread where somebody said they personally saw two sets of Harland Sharps (big $$$) fail.

I think for a street motor where you won't be regularly pulling it to 6000+ RPM's with some super high lift cam, you'd be fine.

Actually I was thinking the source' stuff was overkill for my needs & wondering if there was a cheaper option (such as offset steel/non roller? intake rockers). this is new territory for me so I dont know what is available. yes the SS heads are more intended for a race app than a DD (as far as I can tell) but that is the plan so far. If there are some cheaper options please holler & I will checkout Andys' site.
