I'm prepping a 96 Magnum 5.2 for swapping into my 67 Coronet. It's just a street car so I'm going cheap-ish where I can. Has anyone used the HCR Products intake off of eBay? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Small-Block-Mopa...50c&vxp=mtrIt looks like a Crosswinds knockoff but the price is right. Has anyone bought and used one? I can't find anything about this intake anywhere, only store listings. Are they all warped mismatching junk? Fit good with little prep? Perfect? Please no "just American blah and blah for me no Chinaman crap" posts, we get it.

http://store.speedmaster79.com/p-2829-mo...fold-satin.aspxOr it could be a Pro Comp such as above, $160 factory direct. You could even probably find it on amazon.com. Mopar smallblock intakes are frustrating to me because they aren't that much different than smallblock chevy intakes, yet cost nearly twice as much, used. R.

Its been my experience that when a company will not tell you where their manufacturing facilities are, 99% of the time they are located in China.
Both the manufactures mentioned in this thread do not list where their products are manufactured. They say where their distribution warehouses are, but not where their parts are made.
What does that tell you??? I know what it tells me... poor quality knock-offs.

You just couldn't resist, could you?
Did you read the "Please no "just American blah and blah for me no Chinaman crap" posts, we get it."? Anyone who's semi-conscious knows they are both made in China, probably in the same plant.
Sorry for pointing out the obvious. I was just surprised anyone would actually consider putting that kind of crap on a Mopar.

Also, why are they the only ones who can build an intake that bolts to LA AND Mag motors? Edelbrock and Holley can't seem to figure it out.
When I purchased my Dart it had an LA360 with magnum heads and used one of these intakes. It worked fine and didn't leak, wish I kept it but sold the motor complete as I was going in a different direction.

Not all AMD panels are made off shore. Some are and some aren't. But... there is a big difference in being forced to buy a panel that may not be available anywhere else, and buying a cheap intake that's a poor quality copy of a US manufacturer's intellectual property.
Always buy US first.

Always buy US first. I buy what works first "American made" isn't what it use to be. Head over to the race section and see some of the issues people are having with Edelbrock parts. When I put my small block engine together I had my own issues with genuine Edelbrock RPM intake where they forgot to put enough material on one corner of the intake gasket surface (front seal) and it puked oil all over the corner of my engine. I had to resort to an oversize cork gasket and RTV to seal it up. No leaks with the factory intake. Thanks for contributing.
