I needed to pull out a POS chinese tank sender I installed last year and wanted the tank as dry as possible before I lowered the tank.
Bought this $8 hand siphon from Jegs and the hose was too curly to do what I wanted, so I pulled the ground wire from a piece of Romex cable I had laying around and inserted it into the hose. Stays nice and straight now and with the filler neck pulled out of the tank can reach every spot that gas pools in bottom of the tank. She's bone dry now-
