DAMN!!! Just posted 20 pics to show the history of my build and just as I was previewing, my Internet Explorer CRASHED and restarted!!! I'll try again tomorrow...

OK, so I'll just post a few at a time this time....Here's how I found it, run 'til the tires showed belts and wires!! It had been repainted twice - once to red, then back to white. Otherwise it had never been added to or had anything swapped out - perfectly stock.

Some of the problem areas - needed new quarters, drop offs, partial wheel wells, a drivers floor pan and extensive front fender work. This was JUST before you could buy new repop fenders, so I put 60plus hours into repairing the original ones!!









Someone tried to pry open the trunk...thanks for the extra work...

Some bad spots where the rockers of course!



About this point, I built myself a 24x40 shop out back and got to move out of the 2-car garage. The wife was HAPPY!! No more dust, rust, grinding or compressor kicking in under our bedrooms!!





Luckily I built a drive-through! We pulled the challenger into it's new home with the company vehicle!!

Out comes the mill...


Full rebuild - sent the blcok out for hot tank, check surfaces, shave heads, repalce seats...




Already had these nice period pieces, so painted them up and went wiht them..



Built this engine test stand to run it up before final install. Sounds better than leaning over the fender for hours trying to get er done - or worse - finding a leak!!

Rear end and panel repaired, bumper sucked in and valence tweaked...


Home made booth - hung plastic on aircraft wire on the side I have a 1/3HP fan on.

Retextured and primed the the plastic door panels... BTW - SEM texture is crap - laid down like flat black paint...SURE TEX was way better.

Looks really good. You are going to have a problem running the engine with the carb on backwards though. Looks good. Keep the pictures coming.

Some guy over on abodyjoe.com just put a headliner in a e-body cuda with white interior and it turned out great.

Some rapairs I did to the door panels before paintng them:









The original texture - exposed to sunlight - goes dead and just scrapes or sands right off. Where the 'dead' layer meets the parts that weren't in the sun, you have to feather them out in order that the texture will cover. IT was a major PIA, and with 8 cans of paint, plus other stuff, it'll be like $200.00 in materials.

Very cool. My dad and I did almost all the work on my car too. Saves lots of money, but takes time. Beautiful car, can't wait to see it done.

This build is turning out great. The detail is amazing! Keep it up!!
