I recently purchased this 1971 340 'Cuda of the original owner who unfortunately recently passed away.

340, column auto, bench seat, A/C, V5X body side moulding

49k original miles

about 75% original paint, interior all original and untouched.

receipts for everything done to car

CA car been off the road for 20 years, cleaned inside tank, started and runs great.

found two build sheets for the car still in place and in great shape.

That thing is Nice! I wouldn't change a thing but clean it up. Is it a late build date car? why are you tearing the interior down?

I had to pull the bench seat out to repair a stripped bolt for the hinge on dr. side, also want to clean the carpet really well and lube the rear window regulators, they were squeaky going up and down.

Also looking for the build sheets. I couldn't get the one behind the dash without tearing it while the seats were in. up

I have another 71 cuda, so a friend introduces me to a gentleman trying to help the wife sell the car. He knew I had one so wanted me to talk to him. He showed me pics of the car, I asked to see it, and naturally I had to have it. Car was never put on the market for sale, if it was I probably never would have had an opportunity to buy it.

Sounds like you have just won the lottery, a chance to buy a survivor car like that is one in a million at the very least..
Very nice.

Looking for affordable 72-74 Cuda parts

Yes several Los Angeles AFB stickers up front. First on isn't dated, possibly when car was new, next dated '74 Real cool do not want to touch them, they add character to the car and prob some cool stories with them.

Very nice! Was this the car in the Buffalo NY area? I had heard it was coming up for sale, but not really an E body guy.

Rick.

Beautiful car! That engine bay looks untouched, I hope it stays that way. The most common mistake people make with survivors is to "improve" and repaint the engines and under hood areas.

Thank you Scott. To be honest I don't even wanna clean the compartment. I'm gonna put a resto battery in it and the correct washer bottle, which I'm looking for a correct original. The only thing that's been done is belts, hoses, plugs, wires, and tune up stuff. I have all the receipts for that stuff done 25 years ago. I don't believe the engine has ever been apart. I don't like the dirty look but I don't know where to stop without taking parts out to clean and possibly ruin numbers or finishes.

I think it was a cool find, hard to believe that little gem was tucked away for 20 years. Good for you because it looks to have aged well.
For such a small place there seems to be quite a few e-bodies on Grand Island.

Congrats.

Thanks Dave! Do you know about the TX9 V code 71 in Grand Island?

Very nice survivor. I found a GY9, Tawny Gold 1971 cuda 340 survivor around 1997. It had black leather bucket seat interior with rallye gauges and column shift auto, a/c, and pdb. Sold it in 2000 to a guy named Todd Vollink in Michigan.

What a super cool car. It is like a time capsule with the pictures you are posting for reference. Can you share a picture of the fender tag, it looks to have some awesome options. Great score and congratulations.

hard to tell if it was ever apart. I have receipts for almost everything that was done, and do not for a thermostat or housing.
