What is the widest tire you can put on a 14" magnum in the rear? The magnums are the original wheels best I can tell.

Same question for the front?

I am thinking about either repainting the original wheels or either buying new wheels for the 69. In any case new tires will be bought.

Thanks

Lawrence

I wouldn't go any wider then an 8 inch tire.

I think I recall reading somewhere,
that you should not exceed 3 inches wider than the rim width.
The magnums I have are 14X5.5 and 14X6 inch.
Original 14", not the chrome 15" after market ones.
Have you found a decent set of 14 inch tires?
I read every where that they are scarce and expensive.
Would love to find a couple sets.
I have a set of magnums as well as a set of 14" slots .

I have mechanical Aptitude.
I can screw up anything.
