I have spent the last few days ordering brake drums from local auto supply stores, but ending up with the wrong front brake drums, as I brought in the original drum to match up to the new ones. The original drums are unusable, as there are deep marks into the drums on both sides from the previous owner of the car that rode the brake pads to the metal. There is no way to have them resurfaced to be usable again. I just finished replacing wheel cylinders, pads, springs, lines, but so far no luck finding 2 good brake drums. My front brake drums are 10 inches. Does anyone know where I could find replacements?

Back in the 60's and early 70's when I was in the dealership parts dept the fronts came as a hub and drum assembly and that is how we ordered replacements. Personally I would start junk yarding.

As long as you know the dimensions and have something to match up you should have no problem getting what you need. Look for other body styles and look at truck drums. Junk yards should be your best bet price wise but you might want to go to a different vender if you want new. Some guys can never find anything and others will bend over backward to make you happy. Find this latter guy and buy from him even if he is higher on some things. Smaller shops with employees that have been there a long time will be better at finding your parts. Chain stores that have younger employees are not bad just less experienced.

You pay for shipping, you can have the drum spindle assemblies from a 69 Sat that I parted years ago. I believe they are also 10". And I think the car was pretty low milage. Let me know.
