KOS OP pro stock K Joined: Aug 2003 Posts: 1,578	Guys im running an indy maxx aluminum block that has hemi style motor mounting in a 68 b-body that has a BBwedge k-member.whos the best bet for a conversion mount for this arrangement?

The engine may sit a small amount higher than stock but mine fits under the hood in mine with no clearance problems. http://www.engine-swaps.com/Pages/ProductsYear/66.72bBody.html Kayse can't keep up at all now. lol

If you're wanting it to look perfectly stock using the factory parts are the best choice, but far more expensive. If you're running any type of factory air grabber set up the factory parts you're usually better off with factory mount parts. That way all your air grabber parts line up correctly. For a modified car the Schumacher mounts will do the job just fine. That's what's I used in mine, no fitment/clearance issues. Kayse can't keep up at all now. lol

Mine has an external swinging pickup in the pan but uses a stock style pump (M/Perf, World block) that has the AN fitting on the front up the block. Kayse can't keep up at all now. lol

beedees enthusiast B Joined: Jul 2004 Posts: 370	FWIW, the old DC (black cover ) chassis mod. manual had direction for converting a /6 k-frame to hemi mounts. Worked fine, but this was 25-30 yrs. ago.
