I had this recall done on my truck last December [2007]. A few months ago, I started noticing what sounded like alot of tire noise from the front of the truck. Initially thinking it was the tires, I tried rotating, balancing, tire pressure, etc. It turns out it was a problem with the bearing in the left front hub and the local dealer did the repair as a recall repair.

Since the recall work had [supposedly] been done and I still had a problem, is this something that could keep coming back, or does it mean the recall wasn't done properly the first time?

it has been a while since i did one but it depended on date code on the hub weather it was replaced. if it was replaced they may have used an impact to tighten the big hub nut and brunneled the new bearing and is just now rough enough to make noise. i have done a bunch of those and have not had any come back that i know of.

Recall G02 was to replace ft hubs due to insufficient lube from the vendor. If the both hubs were replaced I don't think its the same problem. truck built from 11/9/05----4/27/06
