Do you normally keep your original springs (the cuda convert I got only had 70 k miles on it), or do you get new springs? Curious what most do? The car sat ok in the back, but wonder if I should get them restrapped and just repainted if they have special markings on them.

I remember ording new springs from Eaton detroit springs, for my 55 C300, and they were really nice. One of the original springs broke, and that why I had to get new ones, in that case.

One friend said just get new ones cause they are not bad in price out there.

I am putting in new springs from ESPO. I wanted to replace the old springs. I also upgraded the front torsion bars.

Buying and installing new springs from Eaton or ESPO is going to be the easiest way of getting your rear susp done, most members opt for 1" over stock - the extra 1" on the cars that get posted have appealling stance.

I would think with the relatively low miles the originals would be great candidates to be simply prepped / re-arched if necc / reassembled - adding more value to a conv like yours is. If they are S15/hemi spings then do restore them, these are not so easy to find. My guess is the conv springs are even harder to source, so again consider to restore the originals, store them along side any other orig parts you may have if decide on non-OEM replacements.
Either way you go is acceptable ever since Eaton and ESPO making the best springs for Mopar.

I'll check the springs to see what pn is stamped on them. If they are hard to get, maybe I will have them restored and put back on.
