In my opinion all you need is the upper ball joint socket. Regular shop tools will suffice for the rest

• Torsion bar remover and installer NO. MAKE YOUR OWN TOOL, USE A BMX STEM, OR SLIDE THE T-BAR OUT WITH THE CONTROL ARM STILL ATTACHED.

• Upper control arm bushing remover and installer. I BOUGHT ONE FOR MY DART. DIDN'T SEE ANY WAY AROUND IT.

• Lower control arm pivot remover. I DRILLED THE RUBBER TO DEATH AND TORE THE PIN OUT. THE INNER SHELL IS A PAIN TO REMOVE AND YOU WILL NEED A PRESS TO PUT IT BACK TOGETHER.

• Upper ball joint socket. YES.

• Lower ball joint stud remover. ?????

• Upper ball joint stud remover ?????

These are sold seperately or in a kit from Mancini Racing.

Thanks,
Jim

Where's the best place to get the socket? How much should I plan on spending?
Thanks,
Jim

I think the going rate is $30 (maybe $20???) Google it. You might even try your local NAPA or other autoparts. Be aware there are two different sizes B&E and A Bodies.

My grandfather used to be a car mechanic so he loaned me the upper ball joint socket.

I bought the control arm bushing remover/installer from Magnum HP (used to be a board sponsor).

I would start shopping around and see who has what and for how much. Mancini is usually pretty reasonable on most of their product pricing.

you can do the uppers in a vice with the right combo of sockets or pipe, i used a water heater element socket. i did have ball j. socket. used pickle fork to seperate ball joints. borrowed a friends shop press for the lowers, they're more trouble. hit the tor. bar socket on the lca with a bf hammer and it will come out easier.
