Anyone have any experience building one of these for a gasser-style project? Need ideas for the hinges, fiberglass vs steel, etc.

member hemiallstate did a fantastic job on the tilt nose hinge mechanism for his allstate. it is also very easily removable for engine maintenance. maybe he will chime in with details.

I made this for my 48 plymouth. Its not really the best picture but its the only one I have. It has to peaces of box tube that slide togeather so the nose can be pulled forward. The inner box has a notch cut in it so the nose can not go past 90*. The plan was to have a hood latch on each side on the back side of the fender would get held to the body but that never got finished.
