I looked at sets on E-bay for years before PG repoped them and I bought several, but none were good enough to use IMO. I was never a fan of the stickers. Honestly, I'd just get the new ones from B/E&A. Dave

What I've seen at the swap meets are NEW woodgrain overlays on top the correct tin backing, ready to drop in. The woodgrain kit being around $600, and a new bezel kit separately for another $600. So, thats $1200 for a new complete dash kit.
I need 2, one for my 70-B and one for 69 SE Charger. The B might just get a plain bezel kit and loose the woodgrain.
Its all pretty pricey, but the quality looks to be real good.
Yep, I had ordered the woodgrain pces (aluminum) and just recieved the plastic bezels that go underneath from B/E&A yesterday. It all looks very nice, but yeah; about $1200 bucks. I looked into re-chroming and re-finishing my original plastic bezels, but the cost was similar and it was several months turn-around. The repops from B/E&A and PG look really nice. I haven't had a chance to see how well they fit yet.
That's OK, I figure $200 for a used E-bay rallye cluster ('cause mine was garbage) plus $450.00 for Autoinstruments to redo the gauges, plus $425 for a new tach from R/T specialties, oh and the new knobs for the switches from B/E&A for $105 means I'm into my dash for a whopping $2,380.00!
Honestly, if correctness wasn't an issue I'd probably just use the plastic bezels alone; they look nice and have all the lettering, etc. My only issue now is I have to cut out all the slots on the new plastic bezels in order to install the aluminum woodgrain pces.

After looking at BEA's parts, the woodgrain is just that, the woodgrain. You'll have to peal off your old and glue the new on.
I must have seen the "display only" versions.
Still almost $1100 total.
As I said: no pealing or glueing with the BEA stuff. They are a finished aluminum panel (like the originals) and are held on by tabs that are bent over after they pass through the plastic bezels. The only "peal and sticks" I've seen are the decals.

Are decals still available? I have a pile of 'other' money to spend on my car to get it on the road, decals might be a reasonable short time fix.

70 Buzz - The plastic injection molded bezels are available on Ebay or through AB&E. I have not seen the metal backing plate that the woodgrain aluminum piece attaches to. However you may check with AB&E to see if they make it.

The shiny trim around the piece is not shiny anymore. I think it is anodized alum. can this be reanodized to bring the trim part backif that is what it is?
are you refering to the top edge and around the numberd 'face'? if so, that is chromed plastic, and the only way to get it to look like new again is to send it out to get rechromed but its probably cheaper to buy new ones. BE&A will sell the individual radio bezels. they look nice, but the chromed top edge is a little more squared compared to the originals which is a little more rounded- but its not really a big deal or noticable at all. hope this helps
You mean I can take my wood grain and attach it to the backing B&E has?
