I HEARD THRU THE GRAPE VINE THAT U COULD CONTACT CHRYSLER AND OBTAIN A BUILD SHEET ON UR CAR, HAS ANYONE OUT THERE DONE THIS? IF SOME I NEED THE INFO ON HOW ITS DONE. THANKS

I did for my 2001 Ram I just picked up.
I e-mailed them at midnight and when I woke up in the morning they had e-mailed me a complete copy of my trucks build sheet.

They can't do that wioth the old junk though.

This comes up every 6 months or so. The story is that the later (68-late 70 something) records were lost. Legend is a fire or water damage (fighting the fire). No accurate info on what happened or where. Remember, this is back when Chrysler was in financial trouble before. They may have just forklifted it all out to the curb for the scrap paper money....

This is also why broadcast sheets and fender tags are important and should not be messed with, and why no one can say their car is a one-of-XXX, since the factory records are lost and exact numbers cannot be pinned down. Of course, that's a whole other
