First off I am wondeing if the Charger R/T came standard with a sure grip in 2006? If not is their a code somewhere or some way to tell without jacking the car up and spinning the wheels. Did the 300c, magnum with hemis have a sure grip ? Anyone drive these cars in the snow ar they O.K. If one takes it easy?

Can't answer your first question, but a limited slip is great in the snow/ice IF you drive accordingly. The SG will give you a better ability to move forward, but it can also bite you in the rear if you apply too much power in a turn. Same as in dry conditions, just come on MUCH sooner.

I see you're in WI...think about an AWD model? My buddy bought a 300 for his wife, ended up keeping it for himself(he has a 4x4 Excursion for bad weather days) and got her an AWD 300C. My sister-in-law had a Magnum and hated it in the snow....biggest reason they pedaled it. With or without sure-grip you're gonna need some GOOD tires and some weight in the back.
