I am not familiar with the 74 Charger K-frame and mounts. My friend is trying to put a 72-440 motor into his Charger that originally was a 400 car. He has the big block K-frame in the car but the motor mounts we have are the 68-72 style. He does not have the 74 mounts to swap over, my question is will the motor drop in with the mounts that we have or do we have to find a pair that are the spool type.
Thanks

I believe a quick look at the K frame will show you if it requires the spool type brackets with the fork type seats sticking straight up. If it has that, then I do not think you can drop in the early style mounts at all. The spool mounts are easy to locate for B-RB also.

You will not be able to use those mounts you must use the spool type big block mounts. I have a set if needed.

You will need the spool type mounts. They are not hard to find nor are they expensive.

Schumacher has replacement stock mounts for the '73 +up cars.

Don't need to spend 177.00 at Schumacher from them.
I have a set for much less. Contact me if interested.
