In process of swapping a 4.0 from a 93 wrangler in place of the 4cyl in my 95. Using the engine harness from the 93, rest of the electrical is from the 95.

Having problems with the wiring. It will not start with the key, the relay to the starter solenoid is not being energized. With the key on it will start if you jumper the starter connections and seems to run fine. But...it will start when you press the brake pedal. Whenever the brake pedal is pressed the starter engages and it will start as long as the key is in "run". I'm guessing some of the pins may be different at the junction block on the 93?

Does anyone have a link to a good wiring schematic? I have one in my haynes manual but it isn't very good. Wire colors don't match and some other things wrong with it. I don't really want to have to switch the dash harness since the parts jeep I bought had an alarm cobbled in and it was a mess. Or does anyone know which wired have to be swapped over?

Thanks for the help.

I don't have a solution for you, but I suggest you ask that question here, you'll have a much bigger audience of Jeep owners reading your thread: http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f20/

Was one an automatic and the other a manual? Sounds like you have an interlock wiring problem.

No interlocks on the jeep. Wondering if someone has a good wiring diagram. I found some junction block diagrams but they aren't helping.

From reading seems I can use the 4 cyl harness and swap in two feeds for the 5th and 6th injector. may do that.

Sorry about the double post, it's in the tech section also
