Great car, I thought that manifold would work with a T/A hood.

I'm going to try again. My body guy mocked it up and said no go. I know Super Stockers back in the day used it, but not sure if they spaced the K frame or it was a no air cleaner deal.

I see them on racecars, you are probably right, no aircleaner on them. You may be able to fit one of the narrow cast aluminum 6 pack aircleaners under that hood. I would keep trying.

I'd be very interested on making the sixpack intake work. I've thought about sealing the air filter to the bottom of the scoop with no lid but not sure what clearance that would buy me

Very tiny air filter or no air filter?

I figure with a slight drop in the base I can seal the air filter directly to the hood with some foam. Air cleaner lid only when the hood is up

Yeah, maybe one of those "Shelby" style air cleaners like they ran on the GSS Demon six packs.

did some electrical work yesterday and finally found a pulley combination that works with the Denso Alternator and March kit, I still need to adjust the alternator spacers slightly

EFI is shorter than carbs!

P.S. I like your intake. Is this a street car or for race?

With a highly modified fiberglass six pack air cleaner assembly.

And this is in an A-body, which has less room than the B/E cars.

doing fuel injection with that manifold gets rid of allot of the drawbacks it has. Do you have it running yet?

Just make/stick some 3/4" spacers to go between the sub-frame & K-member & then you shpuld be fine.

got most of the wiring done in the engine compartment, although I want to hide the changes the Denso alternator and ready to run distributor will require. Still need the wiper motor but it should be here this month. Next weekend I'll jack it up and start exhaust, brake and fuel lines

fuel line is done, just need to hook up the filter to the pump. By Florida standards it was cold in the garage working, about 50.
