One of the biggest changes will be a new crew chief for the 2015 season. Prior to qualifying in the season finale at Pomona, we announced that we’d parted ways with Mark Ingersoll. He was with us for 13 years, and he’s been a great asset and a great friend, but he was ready to do something different. We support that, wish him the best, and have nothing but good things to say about him. He will be missed.

Two-time NHRA Pro Stock champ Jim Yates was gracious enough on short notice to step for the weekend to take on crew chief responsibilities and help us through this last race.

Looking ahead to next year, I am very happy to share that Adam Hornberger will join the Mopar team as my crew chief for the 2015 season. Adam comes from a long history of racing and spent 16 years with Penske Shocks. He worked with some of the top crew chiefs in the NHRA over the past 10 years after our team and Mopar/Dodge brought Penske shocks into drag racing. Adam worked as crew chief in 2013 for World Champion Mike Edwards prior to his retirement, and then in 2014 worked for Jeg as crew chief along with J&J crew chief Mark Ingersoll.

I personally think all their traction issues could be fixed by reading the pinion angle thread on Moparts.

Or maybe get one of the Mopart's "madscientests" to install their flowbenches in the Dodge Neon and use it for a power plant. We could suck all the air from the GM competitor's.

Getting a Pro-Stocker to go down the track is easy...........getting it to go down FAST is an entirely different thing. To be fast they are on the ragged edge of way too much wheelspeed, so it is very easy to get lost in the clutch, gearing, chassis and shock settings, to make it happen. When he struggles, everybody also says "why doesn't he go back to so and so setup"..........the simple reason is that setup is no longer fast enough or they WOULD go back to it. Not like these cars sit in the trailer between races. They are constantly evolving and a setup that was good last month may be junk now

like monte said small changes are needed to remain competitive.sometimes these small changes affect a car a different way.even something as small as clutches being made from a different batch of material can cause them to lose the handle.as someone said earlier, I would like to see them keep jim yates .he is one of the most knowledgeable clutch men around a pro stock car.that aspect of the tune up is just as important as shock or suspension settings.most of us have a hard time getting things to repeat once we screw with them and take a while to get it back.these guys don't have that luxury of time and need to test and test.good luck to whomever flies the mopar banner and I am rooting them on

...but he was ready to do something different. Isn't that the NHRA quote for "found better paying job and we'll see him on another team" ?

Is everyone on this forum a [Edited by Moparts - Family Friendly Site - Keep it clean]? If you don't follow party lines you get taken to the wood shed verbally? Kiss my ass. I don't usually start up with the crap. It's some jerkoff who can't discuss facts because he worked for Ma MoPar or can put his pants on while loping the mule.

What a bunch of arrogant butt tards.

Grow up and see if you can learn something instead of name calling.

Just because you think it won't make it true. Horsepower is KING. To dispute this is stupid. C. Alston

I`m a bit confused about what`s goin on here w/this post but kind of get it. You`re new and got a taste of the "Usual Suspects" and you don`t like it so you call them names BUT then say grow up and stop name calling........... I hear ya and understand and trust me, if you stick around you`ll learn to ignore em like I try to do when necesary which lately, is more needed than ever. Let your ACTIONS speak for you instead of having a battle of wits w/unarned men and boyz.............

Another thing, save the "Everybody" name calling cos now you`re including me and I`m definately not a "butt tard" whatever the hell that is............Here`s something to ponder........a quote from some asian guy.......... "Confidence is knowing the limits of oneself"...............Get it?

Mr. Ingersoll went to Elite. I believe he will be working on Skillman's car.
