For those of you that run Jesel belt drive and ATI Dampener did you have to use an extended snout hub on the Dampener?

If so what part number did you buy and is that the Chevy face or Mopar face?

I'm running the 917120 with Chevy face on my Australian Belt drive but I had to make a 1/4" spacer for it work with the Belt Drive.

I'm hoping I won't have to with the Jesel but wanted to ask.

Should not need anything. The Australian belt drives required a spacer for sure.

The 917120 will clear a Jesel belt drive.

I make a TDC pointer/magnetic pickup setup for that combo if you're running a crank trigger.

Here is an ATI 917120 with a Jesel belt drive. I also run the larger Chevy trigger wheel and then a special crank trigger bracket that I make for this combo. I don't think anyone else sells a crank trigger bracket for the Chevy wheel.

I have never built that combo, or even with the Milodon gear drive that didnt require the keywayed washer/shim to prevent the balancer shell from rubbing the cam sprocket on the Jesel or the idler shaft retainer on the gear drive.

Its .093 thick and easy to source.

I have my dampener from the 496 here on my desk as I need to figure out what hub for an A fuel crank. The center is the 916661L which measures 1.190 from the face that interfaces with the crank / lower gear. The motor has the Jesel belt drive. I do not know if there was a spacer involved as far as spacing out from the crank. I do know the dampener interfered with the Indy cast cover when I tried to use it on the 540. A spacer probably would have cured that but it would have had to be thicker than the oil slinger that isn't there.

BTW, since I am going to replace the hub you can have this one for $50 if you need it.

Hmmmm....the fuel cranks im familiar with are splined...not keywayed...

I know what your talking about though, sorry cant help you with the PN. You may consider ebay'ing your old one and just call ATI on your new requirement.

You may also want to spin that shaft up and make sure you can rebalance to your needs before you commit. You may be unhappy with the results. ...

I bought a standard ATI hub with the three ring dampener for my 526 motor that had a Jesel belt drive on it(sorry I don't remember the hub pt.#), the only spacers I needed where for the stock aluminum water pump to clear the belt drive I sold that motor and it has a front motor plate on it now, maybe I should try and buy back the Milidon water pump spacer for future use
