Sure looks like pink was original...

Could FM3 exist under '999' in '69???

Have never heard of such an animal...

Thanks for all of the response and info.

I'm going to trace down a lead on the motor and trans. As I mentioned I believe I knew who had them less than 5 years ago. When I found out about them someone had already made a deal to get them. Wish me luck lol.

To me that is a very cool car. I hope you fix it. For Pennsylvania that would be a " mint, survivor barn find with patina".

Good Luck! with the drivetrain chase is there a b'cast sheet in that back seat?

290 - 1969 Super Bee coupes with A39 "Scat Pak Special" w/vinyl top - $241.75* (* price w/F70-14 POLYGLAS w/RWL, POLYGLAS redlines were also available for less $)

the average Super Bee hardtop WM23 had ~$1100 worth of OPTIONS

That's a very neat car for sure and would be a super nice color combo restored. Best of luck with it whatever you decide to do on it.
I love blue interior cars!

looks neat with the options it has. Looks easily fixable. Good thing the fender tag still on it. Is the build sheet under that rear seat?

Great options, looks very solid and the front end damage is relatively light. presence of a FT (to me) showing the options make it worth doing. Finding the #'s motor and/or broadcast sheet would be a bonus. Bummer about the rad support but as long as the trunk lip numbers are there that isn't fatal either.

good luck

Dave

Dan,
I to your number crunching abilities! Interesting info from everyone. That's one thing I always liked about cars from that era, you could option one anyway you wanted to.

I have to do some more digging on finding the motor/trans. I thought I had the phone # of a guy who lived in the area they went to, but I haven't found it yet.

Unfortunately the b'cast sheet had apparently became mouse bedding long ago...just one tiny piece left.
Thanks again for all the replies,
Dallas

BTW Dan, this is sitting at the place where I got the Bee. I thought you might find it a bit interesting.....

'71 Sport Fury GTs are pretty few & far between, that one looks a little worse off than the Bee, can you get VIN and/or fender tag info from that one?

Nice unusual color combo and the right "muscle" options. Deserves to be brought back to life...

Why is it an unusual color combo?

Anything will match white.

To me, "unusual" is a blue interior in a red car. Am I missing something?

'Unusual', not usually or commonly seen, in this case, this particular combination in a 69 Bee.
To quote Dan in an earlier post, "Of the 34 vinyl top of 76 St. Louis Super Bee tags, the OP's car is the ONLY 3-color car & it's a 4-spd "SPRING SPECIAL"."
As shown above, I had a '71 Scamp that was white with a black top and a blue interior, which I would suspect was more common in a a-body.

A blue interior in a red car could be called 'odd'...or 'unusual', if you prefer.

What does the V21 "special hood paint" entail on a ramchargered Bee?

The special hood treatment on a 69 bee means that the hood scoops were painted flat black instead of body color.
