I have a Tuff Wheel "soft cap" and the plastic part that should be chrome is painted over.
I thought that PG Classic or somebody was making these but can't find it.
Also who would you recommend to re-chrome this one if need be.
Thanks
Ron

I'm not sure where to send an original plastic one to have it rechromed but whoever does the plastic chroming for PG does a killer job. I've seen a few of their items up close and the chroming is excellent!

I don't think PG offers them, I was just referring to the nice job their vendor does on the plastic chroming of theier other items. The one from the e-bay listing is billet aluminum I believe.

Hey Ed, The billet one was the one that came to mind when I first started this post. I went to the closed listing you posted and to the left it showed he had another listing with minutes left. I opened that but said it was done.

I sent him a message through E-Bay, is he a member here?

Just to give anyone that cares an update:
I ordered one from "thetuffwheelguy" today.
Matt said he has a bunch but when they are gone may not do another run of them.

Thanks for the update Ron...are these just the bases?, or the soft leather pad as well?

Yes he sells just the chromed plastic piece that the soft cap fits onto but he makes it in Billet and polished. You have to put your cap onto new billet piece.

Yes the 71 style and then later soft caps. My car would actually use a hard cap in 72 but I like the look of the soft cap better.

Flip it over and you'll see 3 tabs that have a bend to them, straighten and remove center.
