It is a solid bar and is 1 1/8th diameter
A 3/8 wrench is in this pic for reference

Addco built this sway bar for the car
Along with a smaller 3/4 for the rear
The car already has 3/4 on the front
So I am able to go square on both ends of the car likes that better

drove the car today. the weather broke, allowing my to finish up some small things i had to do.
the car needed a few adjustments for throttle pressure but once it was set, the cars right back at barking the tire on each shift again.
the car really cruises well with the 354 gearing, i can imagine having the 401 ready soon and that in here. the car would be a curb feeler with that much power/ bouncing from curb to curb i would fear.

ill have the sway bar on the from by riday, and the rear shortly afterwards. i am curious how they are going to change to handling. i do not have a square tire setup, i assuming it even remotely works, it will probably need a square tire in say 275 on all four corners with the 3/4 3/4 combo.

i think the large front sway bar will be overkill on this short wheelbase. but ill try to run it and see how it acts.

i might start looking into replacement front springs, after removal ill measure there free lengths and try to match something up that would work, or use control freaks coil over setup./ i think that is a viking strut/spring combo.

Steve -- You need to get to know Jay Streeter and/or Darryl Padberg from the Milwaukee Region SCCA Solo group... they know how to setup AMC cars; they also run with the WAI autocross group. Jay has a C/Prepared Gremlin that handles great (Darryl has run AMX cars... long and short w/b)... Darryl is also an SCCA Solo National Champion. I'll try to get you their contacts.

Got my new sway bar on the front. I am going to have toe work some mounting points I think, but I am pleased so far with it.
Addco made the bar for me, and I initially thought it was a solid bar but in fact it is hollow.

I wil get the ear bar on next, and then start some testing so I can see how it likes them combo

The weather is not the greatest, as most know.
So I have not finished the sway bar. I have to remount the bar as it's a little close to my oil filter. I would like a little bit more room.

Easy enough with good weather and some time.

Once I am finished with that I am mounting the rear bar and possibly starting on the front brakes.

Well, addco sway bar will not work on the front.
The bar is bent all wrong. I'm afraid to use it

The stock 3/4 is going back on this week, then the ear bar will be installed too.
Fixed a minor oil leak I had from a oil seal also.
I'll start on the front brakes soon.
