Hello
I am needing a set of valve cover spacers for my 440 so I can run the stock valve covers with my roller rockers. I have clearanced them from the inside and they work with double gaskets but I am chasing leaks around and it is killing me! So I did a post to ask about these spacers that used to be posted on moparts under the engine for sale section and I got the Name area 51 group and the link to them:

http://www.area51groupllc.com/product_info.php/cPath/26/products_id/44

But the cart does not work on the site, the contact us does not work and there is no # to contact them. So my guess is they are MIA but I know the person that had listed them on here before was a moparts member. Does anyone now who it was or where I can get a set of 3/16 or 1/4 spacers?? Any help would be great. Thanks

I will need to mock up my rockers and see what I need to do for clearance because as soon as I sell them I'll find out I needed them.

IIRC those spacers are not being produced any more.

I may be wrong but think I remember him posting that at some point on the board

I'm guessing they weren't a hot seller , I'm running sharps under 69 sheetmetal covers wit ha 550ish cam , I doubt I'm not going to need them. I was going to see if I could get them drawn up and make a set on the CNC at work

They are available here:

http://www.medicemfg.com/products_get.php?c=Valve%20Cover%20Spacers%20-%20Mopar

A bit pricey. It is a winter project to draw one up and have a water-jet price quoted...CNC is nice, but not needed in this case

I don't have access to a water jet , but do to a CNC , and billet spacers would be nice

I could possibly use a set for my fabbed small block ones as the hit on my Super Victor and Indy intake. How about a Christmas group pre-order special.

I would be happy to get some group pricing if there were a few guys who needed sets. ideally they should be all the same thickness. so I can do a bunch of .25" thick ones if that will work for everyone.

pricing would be $85.00 per pair at .25 thick plus shipping. I have the drawings for both big blocks and small blocks so both engines are available.

They should be an easy make,

Take a nice rigid gasket, trace onto 3/16 aluminum, and start cutting. Or if you have a mill, or access to one, start milling away.

Mike, I can grab some aluminum and make a set for ya. will be kinda fun, and I have the tools to do it.

Kasey,
Yeah man make me a set as I was going to have you put them on this winter anyway when I bring the RT up as I finally have a dash pad on its way, a new speedo, and was going to have you drop off the manifolds again and hit them with some Eastwood.

Milling them by hand is not going to be as easy as you think , but have at it .

I would be in most likely. Still don't know what rockers I will be using in my build, but I'm banking on them not fitting the stock valve covers.

Yeah, that was me. Couldn't sell enough to keep making them; Medici's price is duly noted! Water-jet is the way to go, IMO. I was selling them for about $80/pair shipped, and some guys thought they should be cheaper. Oh well.

some guys always think all mopar parts should cost the same as chevy parts or be free. just gotta work around them. these little things are just filler jobs while I've got machines open right now.

I bought and used a set of Area51's for a small block. They worked very well, fit nice and gave the clearance I needed. If I were to change anything it would be to have an improved/smoother surface on the edges, the cutting left them a bit rough on the side surfaces. Maybe water jet cutting would have solved this. Overall a great product and the price seemed fair to me.

He did cut them on a water jet , that is why they are like that , Doing them on a CNC would give a smooth surface.
